Take a Stand

Every nation pays homage to something: England – the Queen, America – Hollywood, and Australia… ummm, the boomerang. Okay, that’s a bad example, but the point that we’re getting at, is that (as South Africans), we pay homage to the braai. What other nation boasts a national braai day? Or several million cookbooks dedicated to barbecuing? We’re a pretty special nation and we take great pride in our braai skills. So, without further ado, here’s a list of several braai grid stands that are sure to get you fired up.

Possibly the simplest solution to braai-grid support, the Braai Cube offers three height options by flipping its rectangular shape to one of its multiple sides. It’s made from longlasting S/S, but, unfortunately, the more you flip, the smaller the support area becomes.

This is the jack of all trades braai-grid stand: each clip-on Braai-Jack attaches to your braai grid and offers a firm base from which to cook. The Braai-Jacks are sold as a set of eight, so you can attach four feet to either side of the grid, and flip at will.

But best of all, as an added multipurpose bonus, the Braai-Jacks can be fixed to the far corners of your grid – allowing you to stand the grid upright and cook beside the fire and not just over the coals.
