Are we ever going to know what 4x4 you have. We are in suspense now for 6 months. Bit unfair I would say.

OK Warren,

As is obvious from the Avatar, you drive a "SWB 2.8 intercooled turbo diesiel, 4x4 manual with manually engaged free-wheel hubs"

Where's me Noddy Badge?

G'Day Mr. Toy,

There are many reasons for this and they would fill a book.

I might decide to write a thesis on it some day as the vehicle will go down in History and become as famous as the invention of the wheel. Hey - it's there already!

Suffice to say, I would suggest you invest in one while they are still available. Present owners like to keep them, you see.

I trust this has shed some enlightenment for you on this extremely capable vehicle.

Hiluxfully yours,

Family_Dog.

Dear Mr. D. Toy,

Further to my meaningful epistle of yesterday, I thought I would simply show you why the Toyota SFA remains the ultimate 4x4 vehicle. Please refer the following picture and gain knowledge of great understanding.

Yours Hiluxfully,

Family_Dog.

Hi Again, herewith the answer....

Noddy badge& Kudus are duly awarded to Trailblazer... :P :P Well done you certainly know yr. cars

Kudus to all who thought it was a Toyota
As Diahatsu is a wholly owned subsidery of Toyota, Everything keeps going r-i-g-h-t

Zim dollar's to the rest!!! ;)

Now afore yaas all start a quipin & qoutin about the the outboard being on the bullbar, So as to remove the weight at the extrieme rear of the train which exaserbates sway / snaking tendencies it be a practicle place ta store it

Other "gear" on the front include 8000Lb Warn winch, snatch pulley & Shackle /10Ton x 6M belt_ tree protector / Sand anchor / Spade & Hi-lift jack ALL WELL USED!!!

The top cross bar on the bull bar is designed as a utility bar and has mountings for an assortment of accessories including a vice & small workbench.

I purposly sacrificed approach & depart angle, bear in mind: -
My need is: - A economic tug (it is also my daily t/port), That has awsome 4x4 abilities, powerful enough to tow a tandem rig, predominantly to remote fishing locations (mud, clay & goo mostly flat terrein), and almost always, on my own (that's why I have so much recovery gear I hasta get it out on me lonesome).......

WITH NO FIDDLY, STUPID, ANNOYING PRONE-TO-NOT-WORKING EXPENSE ADDING ELECTRONIC FIDDLE-FADDLE!!!!

NOT to go hill / rock climbing (although I can)

Prevoius shoes (Bridgstone dueller's) where most unsatisfactory which I threw out and re-soled with Firestone Destination's (very satisfactory)

I've gotten so clever at gettin meself out, I've even designed & made a reverse winch pulley. Fitted into the centre jacking point in front, the winch cable is then passed over the pulley and out under the car. a loop of chain on the hitch at the back keeps the cable away from the rear wheels.

When hooked up to an anchor point behind the car, activating the winch pulles the vehicle backwards.

Because the fitting into the jacking point is round, the pulley "swings" from left to right as the cable is recovered onto the winch drum, so the cable does not "bunch up" in the middle of the winch drum.

Other recovery gear (inside includes track mats/snatch belt/ pump/ tyre removal/ an on an on.

for the doubting masses I've towed this rig over 4 passes: - Joubert's / Naude's / Moodernaars & Langs necks just for the hell of it.
Not to mention other trips to Swartberg, Maluties (x2) Drakensberg, and a whole bunch of other places.

She now be heading for a quarter mill Km's and still runs like a Swiss clock.

I herewith present to you

SITNIEVASNIE
