2022 Landy Fest! (29 April – 02 May)

The Landy Fest takes place over the Worker’s Day long weekend and offers a wonderful camping, 4×4 and outdoor opportunity at the Rust de Winter ATV Club Terrain. It’s a long weekend full of fun to the max!

The Landy Fest 2022 long weekend program is a family-orientated event for the young and old and everyone in between. All are welcome. There are lots of activities for kids and there is also a large kids’ playground.

Don’t forget the swimming pool to cool off in, the exciting exhibitor arena offering premium 4×4 goodies, camping gear, as well as fun activities such as the Series Games, Crank the Landy, Live Axle Classic, Camel RC Trophy (radio controlled Landies), and light live entertainment throughout the long weekend!

The Landy Fest 2022 is held at the 4×4 ATV club grounds at the renowned Rust de Winter just North of Pretoria and Dinokeng. This is a must outdoor festival for the 4×4 enthusiast – with a Land Rover flavor. It’s held Friday 29 April to Monday 02 May, which is a public holiday.

Main weekend activities

  • Weekend camping, from Friday 29 April to Monday 02 May
  • Exhibitor arena and lots of food stalls
  • Series Games: Enter your Series Landy (leaf-sprung Series Land Rovers only) for a fun 4×4 drive through the African bush, 4×4 driving through mostly natural obstacles and play games to score points. Spectators are welcome to offer support and join in the fun.
  • Crank the Landy: Fun activity at the exhibitor arena. This event is open to anybody wanting to try their luck to start a vintage Landy with a crank handle!
  • 4x4Direct Live Axle Classic: Enter any Land Rover for this exciting new event. This is a fun jamboree-style event and drive through the African bush. Test your skills on the natural and man-made obstacles where fun games are played to score points.
  • RC Camel Trophy: We invite you to join us on the Landy Fest RC Camel Trophy with your 1/10 scale hard body Camel Trophy Rig.

Friday 29 April
12:00 Opening of exhibitor centre
Arrival of Landy Fest attendees

 Saturday 30 April
07:00 Lineup for the Series Games entrants.
08:00 Convoy departs
15:00: “Crank your Landy” fun activity in the exhibitor arena
18:00: Prize giving
20:00: Light live entertainment at the exhibitor arena

Sunday 01 May
07:00 Lineup of 4x4Direct Live-axle Classic entrants – all Landies welcome.
08:00 Convoy departs
18:00: Prize giving
20:00: Light live entertainment at the exhibitor arena

Monday 02 May
Exhibitor stalls open till lunchtime.
Landy Fest 2022 ends at lunchtime
RC Camel Trophy – 1/10 scale radio controlled Camel Trophy Land Rover event throughout the weekend.
