I’m in the process of Buying an Iveco Daily 4×4 Single cab for a Camper van conversion. It has long been my dream to “cruise Africa” for as long or short as I want to, with no fixed Itinerary. There will be long long distance on good tar roads, (read Southern Africa) and I want to travel at 120 kmh wherever I am allowed to. Any ideas on the tyres ( AT of course) that are rated at 160 kmh that are freely available in S A . ( p.s. I know that the daily is limited to 120kmh if ROAD -read AT – tyres are fitted ) I want to undertake my dream trip starting next year after “running /shake down / test trips locally are all completed!

Keen to know who is doing your conversion.

Is it a motorhome builder like Motorhome World or AC Motorhomes or are you doing it yourself .
PS about the tyres ..I can put you in touch with the technical guys from Iveco who can answer your question.

I,m still weighing up my options!
Earthcruiser from Aus build a real Beaut of a “pop top” camper, very pricey, but I want the best as I aim to be travelling for at least 5 years on the trot? Only problem is the fitment to the chassis ie: the pass through?. Also they are not keen to “export” anything as the std of our “fitment and workmanship” of their product onto my chassis is of concern to them.
Other options abound too though!
