I’ve noticed more and more campsites and resorts banning drones. Obviously they are noisy, but the photos/videos they can deliver make it worth it. Do you think they should rather implement a time of day limitation i.e. only allowed to fly the drone in certain hours? What are your feelings towards drones?

I really do believe all drone activity should be banned from campsites and parks and game reserves as they are intrusive, noisy and out of control drones are dangerous.
I futher believe that wilderness campsites should ban radios, TV,s and generators.

    I don’t have a drone.

Responsible use of a drone should be permitted.

I have seen some amazing footage that would have been missed if it had not been for a drone.

Any person that I have come across using a drone that has been requested not to fly one has done so.

Drones are a part of life as is Tesla, iPhone and chip based products. It is not the drone and not all drones are noisy but rather pilots of drones. As when driving on public roads you get the responsible, the irresponsible, the show offs and lastly the idiots. Drones are banned at all SANPARKS in the main to protect animals. At beaches and campsites the opportunities of capturing great shots of nature, amazing sunsets, the sea and water falls are out of this world. So no I don’t agree there should be a general ban but rather in a case of a JUSTIFIABLE complaint a warning and if not adhered to an eviction. Be careful when dealing with drone complaints it’s not from someone who cannot afford a drone and out of jealousy want to abuse rules regulations and the law to justify his or her jealous ranting.

Concerned about the campsites drone ban? Embrace the tranquility and respect fellow campers’ privacy. Experience nature without disturbance. Let’s foster a peaceful camping environment for everyone to enjoy.
