Is there a function available to members where we can lock our own threads to prevent further posts on that thread?

George, the current set up is such that only a designated administrator is able to lock a thread. This is to provide new members the opportunity to post on any thread. All threads are managed at our discretion and will only be locked if there is suitable motivation for it. In essence the thread belongs to the entire community and not a single “owner” – this keeps the forum open, transparent and interactive for all members – new and old.
