I would like to know if there are any products available that would convert your doublecab load platform into a sleeping area? I.e. If the tailgate is down and the canopy gate is open, is there some kind of canvas product that can be used to enclose the back enabling you to sleep? Thanks!

Hi there member, my reply may be late as you may have gotten answered.

I have the same question and the only thing I can do is to use my gazebo as cover to cover the back for sleeping purposes.

Obtain info from any tent or canopy company if there is alternative option available to create for your purpose and use.

I will appreciate your reply to this input, did you get any suggestions to this question.

Hi there Fredp, I am not in Durban.

I have gone the alternative route for this problem and obtained a caravan and that was my closure to that situation.

I am in Ladysmith KZN, thank you for your assistance. I will be going on retirement soon and have scaled down to a teardrop caravan and my wife and me can go and travel in stile.

Vagabond 4×4 Drifter caravan from the Midlands caravan people which is lighter and very excellent designed for our trips through South Africa.

I will  place photo at later as I don’t have it yet.
