Hi all. I have been noticing a few manufacturers building stainless steel snorkels with the intake facing backwards. Are there any tangible advantages or disadvantages doing it like this? I do like the way they look with the intake facing backwards.

it allows the top half of the snorkel neck to swivel when im wading through deep water.

The cheaper ones were just rubbish.

Then i flip it around when driving on normal gravel and roads. Very inexpensive but a good piece of overlanding kit!!

im not sure what the benefits of having a stainless steel snorkel are? other than getting red hot after 12 hours of kgalahadi sunshine. LOL
