In your article on the V6 Amarok, a lot of space was taken up with the previous model, and
some details left out of the description of the new model. The only mention of tyre size was on
the top of the range, with 20-inch wheels. You also wrote about the underbody protection of
the existing models and its interference with clearance, but made no mention of underbody
protection on the new model. There is no mention of low-range in the new V6.As 4x4ers and overlanders, I am sure all your readers would be interested in these details.
The new Nissan Navara has been launched with a complete set of accessories and options.
Will the Amarok also come with VW-approved add-ons?During testing, why are these vehicles not put through their paces when carrying a load?
When travelling over the border, you see countless 4×4 vehicles, usually overloaded. I have
just completed a trip to Namibia carrying 165 litres of diesel and 60 litres of water, plus a full
fridge and camping gear. It would be interesting to read how the standard vehicles fare when
carrying this kind of load.I am looking forward to your road test of the V6 Amarok. Is it a real off-road bakkie?
Because, if I buy one, I know I am not going to get the same backup as Johan Badenhorst did
when he did Voetspore.
