I, and a group of 8 friends with 3 vehicles (4X4) wish to embark on a Silk road adventure by driving from Oman via UAE, Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kirgizstan, China, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia and finally into Singapore our final destination. We plan to ship our vehicles back from Singapore and fly back to Oman. I have information on requirements from all other countries except Laos, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. Does anyone know if we can transit through these countries with our own vehicles using Carnets or trip tickets or if there are any restrictions or other requirements so that we may prepare ourselves well in advance, and if there are any tour companies or agents who can help us obtain any necessary documents or permits to cross these borders without any hassle. For your information last year we drove from Oman to Cape town South Africa a back.(Please see our trip on Facebook: Team Adventure the Long road to Africa). Next year we wish to do the Silk route, any help is dearly appreciated
