John Chandler, making the crossing

A mild case of misjudgement, near the lakes at Bilene in Mozambique. When Candy walked across the river to take this photograph of husband, John Chandler, making the crossing, it seemed much shallower – barely knee height; but when it was John’s turn, the vehicle became almost completely submerged! Obviously the shallow crossing was much narrower than they’d previously thought, but it made for a great photo.
