Their shared love for exploration led to the acquisition of a 2000 Land Rover Defender 110 TD5 in November 2014. Tragedy struck when Alan passed away unexpectedly in December 2018, but this setback didn’t deter Grunewald. Undaunted by the loss, she embarked on the journey they had envisioned, bolstered by the support of friends and family.
