TuffAnt is an Australian brand, but has been in South Africa now since 2021. TuffAnt loves their Land Rovers, but sadly, like most owners have found, a distinct lack of suitable 19″ tyres have left them wanting more.
What was required was a wheel and tyre combination to match the amazing technical ability of the Land Rovers in all the tough off-road conditions that came its way.
The solution was a properly engineered 18″ steel rim that would suit Disco 4’s without breaking the bank or requiring any spacers or vehicle modifications and easily fitting over the brake calipers. The TuffAnt Original Steelie was brought into being, launching first in Australia, then progressively venturing into new terrains such as USA, UK, EU and Canada and in South Africa.

The original steel rim has now been renamed the Pilbara. Named after one of the desert areas in Australia. Two new alloy rim products has been launched recently. The 5-spoke Simpson alloy and the 10-spoke Kimberley. Both also desert names. They are just as strong as the original Steelie, but lighter. In the case of the Kimberley, it has an even higher load rating.
The design of the two new alloys also allow for fitment to a wider range of vehicles like the Discovery 5 and the new Defender. Some additional colour choices are also available in the alloys.

So, Land Rover owners are now covered for 18′ rims for their vehicles. With TuffAnt rims, Land Rover owners have a whole lot more tyre choice and it allows for some great off-road fun.
