Just north-east of Johannesburg and 35 kilometres from Pretoria in the Gauteng Province of South Africa is the McCarthy Rhino Park 4×4 Trail. McCarthy Rhino Park provides great training for avid 4×4 enthusiasts that want to get some practice in, within the beautiful surrounds of Dinokeng. Thanks to the tranquility of these surrounds, the McCarthy Rhino Park is an oasis, a veritable escape from the chaos of city living. The Olifants and Limpopo rivers both contribute to the catchment of the region, which adds to the biodiversity and natural abundance.
Further amenities and facilities at the McCarthy Rhino Park include a restaurant, braai area and ablutions. This trail requires advance bookings (of at least one week) and a minimum of five 4×4 vehicles.
