The kykNET Buite Ekspo Limpopo is set to make a grand return to the Sondela Nature Reserve & Spa near Bela Bela from 26 to 28 July 2024. Conveniently located just 80km from Pretoria’s northern suburbs and adjacent to the N1 highway, Sondela offers a fantastic venue with top-notch facilities, ensuring easy access for all attendees.
The 2023 event saw a record-breaking attendance of 18,658 visitors, solidifying its status as one of South Africa’s premier outdoor events. Focused on the outdoor, camping, and 4×4 markets, the expo showcases the latest gear and equipment in a dynamic, real-world environment. Families are warmly welcomed, making it a comprehensive outdoor lifestyle experience.

Visitors can look forward to a host of activities, including the thrilling Maxxis 4×4 Extreme event where enthusiasts can enter their own vehicles. André de Villiers from Andre 4×4 will guide vehicles through a custom-built 4×4 obstacle track, sponsored by kykNET. Additional highlights include Waterberg Toyota Rally rides, Urban Trax experiences, and Capital Air helicopter rides. GT Camper will also present “Chasing the Bush,” a new rugby chat show hosted by renowned Springbok rugby legends.
While the event isn’t a music festival, it features performances by top South African artists sponsored by Hankook Tyres. Attendees can enjoy the sounds of Pieter Smith, Fatman, Sone Joubert, Dozi, Irene-Louise van Wyk, David Fourie, Deon Groot, Liezel Pieters, and MC Riaan Grobler throughout the weekend.
A new addition to this year’s expo is the PlusNET Agri Park, blending agriculture with outdoor activities, promising to be a significant attraction. The Jimmy’s Steakhouse Sauces competition will see kykNET actors and the public competing in a fun-filled braai challenge. Children will be entertained with the Just 4 Fun play park, stage performances by ‘Bee Bee die By’, and camel rides around the venue.
Food lovers can indulge in a variety of offerings from selected vendors, while adults can relax at the Ketelkraal bar & beer garden or the 1659 Wines garden hosted by Leopards Leap Wines. The GT Camper Arts- & Craft Market is another must-visit spot for unique finds.
