The kykNET Buite Ekspo South Cape returns to ATKV Hartenbos from 20 to 22 September 2024, perfectly timed to kick off the school holidays. This outdoor expo has become a cornerstone event for outdoor enthusiasts, families, and anyone who enjoys the open air, offering an entire weekend of activities and exhibits in one of South Africa’s most popular coastal resorts.

A History of Success
The kykNET Buite Ekspo has been a significant event on the South African outdoor calendar since its inception in 2011. It has successfully hosted events at locations such as the Sondela Nature Reserve & Spa in Limpopo and Môreson Farm near Malmesbury in the Western Cape. These expos have consistently drawn large crowds, with the Môreson Farm event seeing a record attendance of over 22,000 visitors during the course of that week. Even under challenging weather conditions, the 2023 Hartenbos expo attracted more than 10,000 visitors, highlighting the event’s popularity and the quality of its experience.
What’s New This Year
This year’s kykNET Buite Ekspo South Cape promises to be even more impressive, with a range of new attractions and a schedule designed to cater to a diverse audience. The expo focuses on outdoor and camping gear, with top industry brands showcasing their latest products. These exhibits are not just static displays but interactive experiences where visitors can see, touch, and test the products in a real-world environment.
4×4 Thrills and Agri Park Debut
One of the main attractions this year is a custom-built 4×4 obstacle course designed to showcase the capabilities of Mossel Bay Ford’s vehicles. André de Villiers from André 4×4 will be on hand to demonstrate these vehicles’ rugged performance. Visitors will have the chance to ride along, providing an adrenaline-pumping experience that will appeal to both seasoned 4×4 enthusiasts and newcomers.
Adding to the excitement this year is the introduction of the Total Energies and Alert Engine Parts Agri Park. This new feature highlights the connection between agriculture and the outdoor lifestyle, showcasing a range of agricultural equipment and products. This area will draw a diverse crowd, including those interested in the latest farming machinery and sustainable agricultural practices.
Live Entertainment and Family Fun
