The 60,000-Kilometre Odyssey and Beyond
While most octogenarians are enjoying a well-deserved retirement, Kingsley is still out there engaging low-range and tackling axle-twisting tracks.
In 2024, he wrapped up the mammoth Afrika Odyssey Expedition – a staggering year-long, 60,000-kilometre journey that crossed 24 African countries. Along the way, his team distributed 15,880 insecticide-treated mosquito nets to vulnerable mothers and children. He followed this up with the Greater Gorongosa Expedition in Mozambique, where the team waded through floodplains to deliver malaria prevention and vision care, all while supporting vital ecological restoration.
Fast forward to 2026, and Kingsley is already back behind the wheel. His current mission, the Defender Africa Traverse Expedition, is a brutal three-month west-to-east continental crossing. Tracing the Tropic of Capricorn from the icy Atlantic waves of Namibia to the humid coast of Mozambique, this journey takes his team deep into isolated rural communities to deliver crucial humanitarian and conservation support.
